You set your weekly availability — Tuesday through Thursday from 10am to 4pm, no Wednesdays after 2pm, that kind of thing. You define the services you offer — 60-minute consult, 30-minute follow-up, whatever you sell. Clients hit your public booking URL, see only the slots that fit both your hours and the service length, pick one, and you get an email. The appointment shows up on your dashboard. That's the whole loop.
No payment collection. If you charge upfront, link Stripe Checkout from your confirmation email. No two-way Google Calendar sync — you can export to ICS but Booking doesn't read your calendar back. No SMS reminders out of the box (you can wire one up via Pony Express). No Zoom auto-creation. If you need any of that, Calendly Premium or Cal.com is probably the right call. Booking is for the case where you just need clients to pick a slot from your real schedule and have the appointment land somewhere you own.
